Lost Dutchman Chapter 5917+4 is a member of the Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus, a Historical Organization dedicated to the preservation of Western History.The Lost Dutchman Chapter was established in Arizona on October 1, 1990 by Frank “Credit Card Smith” Houdek. We have members throughout the state of Arizona, but mostly in Prescott and Phoenix. Our Current Humbug is Matt "Marty" Schwall.

What does E Clampus Vitus mean? Well, that's the greatest mystery of all, because none of us know exactly what it means! There are many unsolved theories currently under review.
What does 5917+4 mean? Our chapter number is derived from the year that Arizona and New Mexico became states, minus the current Clamper Year (CY). Do the math! The +4 is the number of NM Members at that time.
Our Motto: Credo Quia Absurdum = "I believe because it is absurd".
What is our purpose? It is claimed that ECV is a "historical drinking society". Others claim it to be a "drinking historical society". The debate continues... Resolve happens in CY6069. Stay tuned!
Our objectives? Members swear to take care of the widows and orphans — especially the widows.
